oh this will be fun

1) have you ever drifted before?

2) do you have lots of money?

rb26 = super expensive, and pointless other than the "wow" factor. if your serious about drifting i would look for another engine. RB's are hard to get parts for, and expensive to modify.

Hahahah I am almost living for these posts now......start with the ka and work your way up to a car with power.

We do have to give him some credit though...he DID wait until his 4th post to ask the question.

In all seriousness though, the RB26DETT is going to cost way more than you ever have to spend to have a good drift car. Hell, it's all in the suspension and driver anyways. The KA could give you plenty of reliable power if you turbo'd it. Save your money for tires, suspension, and body parts because all will be disposed of at some point in a drift car.

Kamin is the expert in this area so take his word as gospel.

that sounds fun. call jhotimports http://www.jhotimports.com , they have a warehouse in Denton, Texas, you can pretty much drive there and pick it up. whatever you do, stay away form osaka, they are the worst, known to have dead motor and wouldn't warranty it.

btw! you guys will most likely run him off this board, soon, if not already.

Go and buy one and have it shiped to you. Problem solved. 4-5 years ago when I bought my rb26 they were hard to find. Now there easy to find. Seach for threads of were people bought there engines.

it's my personal opinion that the average rb26 into 240 swap makes for a crappy drift car, but you're probably going to ignore all of us who are telling you that anyway so here:zerothread/308267

good luck, you will need it.

ah, don't be scared. If your serious I have a freshly fully built RB26 for you ready for a S-Chassis swap if you have the $$$$$. Like everyone said, it takes alot more money than the average motor to be super "cool".

Other than that, good luck

hehehe C'mon you must remember how the constrctive criticism not only helped you learn better but also helped you not make bad decisions............I know he asked a question and we should just answer it but it would be a sin to waste that cash now.....when it could be saved for a more educated buy.

You have to admit though lately there are alot more repetitive posts that get a bit annoying to go through.

Good luck with the swap man but if I can leave you with anythig think it through first.

i drifted a rb25 s14 for years, did well. obtained a corporate tire sponsor and a pro license.

its all in the suspension/alignment setup and driving style. any newbie will suck it up in whatever they drive. regardless of engine. theres nothing wrong with that, its just a lack of experience.
