According to tire rack

*** New TPMS sensors must be registered to the vehicle at the manufacturer's dealership. Car requires a staggered setup Do not use the same size tire for front and rear. Warning! All cars use the Schrader TPMS system mounted in the valve stem hole. The existing transmitters must be reused or a new set ***

Do I need to fork out another $250 for the sensor or can I ignore this?

Note I have a 2005 G35 Coupe Sport.

Thanks in advance.

You don't really need TPMS sensors. It wont affect your VDC or ABS. You will just get an annoying light on your dashboard.

+1 you don't need the sensors just keep an eye on your tire pressure about once a week.

My track set up doesn't have the TPMS in them and they are just fine. The TPMS dash light will go off on its own when you put the factory wheels back on.

Save your money for mods!

If you carry a spare, just have it up to pressure with the TPMS and it will send a signal to the ECU that all is well, thus avoiding the light fiasco if it becomes an issue. Just make sure you know how to repair a tire on the spot w/o removing it. Hope this helps and good luck.
