Getting to the Map Light

Hi folks, I have an altima 2.5 2009 and just wanted to do some research about adding visor monitors or just in general how to get behind the map light up front. Does the map light itself come out or how do you get in between the roof and the headliner, if that makes sense?

Anyone know if you can run wires from the footwell to the map light switch (ON-DOOR-OFF)? I wish to tie footwell lighting to this switch...

I ran a wire from the footwell to the map light by pushing the wire into the gap between the dashboard and the frame by the door then up the inside of the A-pillar then through the headliner to the map light.
