There is some sort of adhesive or chemical idk what it is honestly, its on the rear of my z I ll post a picture below. I have tried pressure washing it off and letting some cleaner soak and scrubbing it off neither one worked. Any ideas on what could maybe get this off. I may try some goof off, but i am hesitant on doing that.

I turned up the brightness and contrast so that it would stand out more.

....looks like tar. There's supposed to be a black strip there, but it's not supposed to be tacky, which it looks like.

....Or are you talking about the white spots? Cause for that, I'd suggest some buffing compound.

+1

Also If you want to use Goof Off they also offer Goof Off 2, that is safe on plastic, and works on many different things including tar.

I have also used Simple Green on some of my hardest removals, including fluid that leaked out of a damaged transformer. It worked great!

i would use some plastic polisher or cleaner. i use this stuff all the time and it works great, i get it at my local motorcycle shop. its a good system, just a lot of work if you dont have a buffer.

Cool I'll give those a try, I think I will try that Novus first since I do have a buffer. If not I am gonna try the goof off 2 :). The black strip is in bad shape, but not high on the list right now gotta get the 120k kit in the next couple of weeks and do that first. I found the black strip peace so when the time comes ill get that replaced :D Thank for the input I hope it works!

X2! i would hate to keep recommending something that doesnt work, like those tornado fuel saver things that do nothing at all.

I use Novus as well.
Amazing results in restoring scratched tail lights.
