The G35 with the Navigation Package can play video but the catch is the car's e-brake has to be pressed and the car has to be at a complete stop and in park. Is there anyway to get around this. I'd like to play DVD's while driving so others can watch movies on long trips. Any ideas? I'm talking about playing from video from an alternate source such as an IPOD or portable DVD player which you can hook up with the Audio cable hookups inside the armrest.

After an hours worth of research it's come down to the following:

1) In order to get this to work a switch has to be installed to kill the circuit going from the E-Brake to the Nav System which controls Auxiliary Video Input.

2) That's a bit much considering I have no idea which wire it is and apparently it's behind the glove compartment.

3) I have an email into my Infiniti Service to see if Infiniti has come up with a solution to this problem.

I'll keep everyone posted on what I find.

Good luck with your search, but I think you'll be disappointed in the answer you get from Infiniti Service. It's not a 'problem' as far as Infiniti is concerned, it is a built in safety feature that is meant to be there and prevents them from being sued. No Infiniti Service center is going to 'fix' the problem. If they did then they could be liable.

Sorry for giving bad news.
