Ive finally decided to go ahead and get a better suspension system for my s13. Im running stock right now, and want to get some better handling out of my car.Ive read many reviews and have decided to go with Megan Racing coilovers(unless anybody speaks up with some bad information).

So my setup will include:-Front and Rear Strut tower bars (already installed)-Megan Racing coilovers (899 shipped)-Suspension Techniques front and rear sway bars(340 shipped)-SPL Bushing collars?(74)

Questions:I havent really ever delt much with suspension, and am wondering if bump stops are used with coilovers. If so, should I stay with the stock ones or go aftermarket. As far as the subframe, I want to do something... But I dont want aluminum bushings. I have heard that the spacers are a little more street-friendly. Any thoughts on this? Dont spacers change the geometry of the suspension, or is that not noticeable? With a beefier suspension, I think Im definatly going to have to swap out the open differential. All of this is gonna cost me alot, so I dont know wheter to just go with a vsld or get an expensive helical one. Should I get an infinity vlsd, or a hicas one, and what other parts do I need for the conversion? Lastly, If anyone has any other comments, or knows of places to get these items cheaper than listed, please let me know.

Sorry for all of the questionsThanks alot!

Well, as far as the MR coilovers, keep in mind that for $236 more you could get the KTS coilovers from SPL. Search around, they seem to be very highly regarded. Not much info here on the MR coilovers, from what I've seen.

Heavy Throttle seems to have a better deal on the ST sways, but not sure how much shipping will be. Perhaps the savings on the sways would be close to enough to upgrade the coilovers a bit.

As for your suspension geometry, I'd keep in mind that it's most likely already changed due to your OE bushings aging.

you can get tein basics for like 725 only. for an lsd it depends what kinda money u got. if u have enough go for a clutch type...nismo or kaaz, but if u dont got that much just look for a vlsd.

^^^tein basic is total ****.

i would deffinitley get KTS coilovers instead of megan coils and swaybars.

every coilover system that i have seen uses bumpstops.

yes subframe collars will be fine for street, easy to install as well.

imho helical diffs and viscous diffs both suck. save up and get a clutch diff.

Check into SPL for KTS Coilovers and Subframe Spacers. hopupracing has deals on swaybars including Tanabe's for like $375 shipped. Also when getting coilovers consider some RUCA's to adjust camber in the rear unless you don't care about tire wear.

iunno i am kind of biased cause i'm getting the MR coil's but still to me they look exactly the same only megans have like 2 more adjustability levels other wise they look the same only in red and with a little bit of a diff pillow mount

they all may look the same, but the difference is in the quality and design of the damper inside. Lots of people like the MR coilovers, but i'd definitly save the extra 200 bux for the KTS. They've been awesome so far and SPL parts customer service is awesome.
