Okay.....

On a serious note I plan on getting the same wheels also same widths for my car. I dont want the volks anymore.

I love the wheels, but they are heavy as hell.

Ive always loved the look of those wheels. But Ive read on some other car forums that they have the tendency to bend with daily use. Stay away from pot holes!

Cause they dont make 17 and 16's suck for tire size options

Getting 15's cause they're cheaper and I don't want anything bigger cause it'll just be heavier.

68 pounds for four bare wheels isn't that heavy.

Not they dont call them... They have up to 16 then 19.5, 22.5, and up for trucks. Their "car" wheels stop at 16, and the largest inner diameter they have is just under 14 inches.

How much do your Volks weigh?

20lbs w/ tires is heavy to you? I think that's pretty light for a street wheel...

Umm I said Diamonds are heavy, then I said but I may sell my wheels foe diamonds. Then I was asked how heavy the volks were, and I said about 20 lbs shipped with tire.

So from A to Z you ready something out of context.

Ooooh! I misunderstood. I was starting to wonder why the Volks would be so popular if they were so heavy...

Some of the math is not adding up here. The everage tire weighs from 15 to 24 lbs. Summer tires tend to be heavier because of the number of plys and steel beads and what not. That would tell me the Volks weigh as little as 5lbs.

The 17x9 Competitions I currently run weigh in at a hair under 42lbs a corner with Dunlop FM 401's. That is about 3 lbs heavier than the stockies with a much improved footprint. The wheel alone checked in at just over 19lbs.

Kind of a random thought though, the American Racing D-Windows can be had in a 17, and can be widened to upwards of 12 inches. The D-Windows are something like $80 from summit if remember correctly. I don't know how much to add a few inches of width, but I don't see it costing an ungodly sum. Just spitballing though, see what sticks. I stumbled onto this thread

I never weight4ed them. The Fedex label had them at 20lbs a box, so maybe fedex was cheated. Deff much much lighter the a 15 inch steely.

Diamond racing has a form for download. I am going to fill it out and take all my measurements for caliper clearance and see what they say. I will look into the D windows as well.
