I remember when Slotted/drilled first came out and everyone had them. Now ppl have had them and did not like the prone problems they have like Cracks, Rust and noise. I come to see this is because they are going to long with them or are using the wrong parts with them or are buying crap... hence why I am not sure if I should get them or not... I however would like to get them for looks more than anything

but after asking some users and some of my other car friends most of them are saying to just gets blanks because I am better off. So I don't see issues of cracking and such. but I seem to think if you are getting quality like brembo how would they just crack in a year? My only cons would be just the rust that hides in the slots that the pad cannot reach to get rid of...

I also am gonna be getting some Metal Masters to match up with the rotors. They are semi's and I heard good things about them.

I would reccommend plain slotted (no drilling) if you can opt for that.

Slotted/ dimpled is really a nice way to go. I just ordered a set of cross drilled/ slotted rotors. I'm only worried about the rotors cracking or chipping at the drilled holes.

Dimpling is not as advantageous as slotting because it presents no escape path for expanding gases at the pad/rotor interface, whereas a slot not only has more internal volume, but directs gases outward or inward.

^ This is true... So I know Brembo makes great rotors and all, but really... Do you think I should pay the extra for those or is there another brand out there that are just as good with a lower price?

Honestly -- my rotors were slotted eBay specials.

That said, they've lasted through at least 10000 miles of daily driving, two track days, numerous touge sessions, and have yet to crack or deform. They have worn down but they still grab great!

i was kind of sketchy thinking about it at first too, but theyre basically the same as brembo blanks, since the blanks arent really made by brembo

ive heard several stories claiming them to be quite durable, both track and heavy street use, so i wouldnt worry
