So... when they rip out the KA and replace it w/ the SR, it's still your engine, right? So, can you make any $ off of it, or do you have a completely worthless engine to dispose of? Does it depend on the place that does it? What if you do it yourself?

It depends on the place.

A lot of places will just swap the engine and hope you forget about the other one. I don't know what the other major shops policies are on this facet, but I will either pay a few hundred for your core, or let you leave with it, whatever you'd like. You can put it in the SR's crate if you'd like.

If you do the swap yourself, its obviously still yours, and its up to you do to whatever you want with it. Most people sell it to someone else who needs a KA.

Anything else I can help you with? : )

Midnight Motorsports, Just was wondering where you were located. I recently did the sr20det swap as well and I cannot find anyone to buy the KA. I have heard that the Mass Air Flow Sensor is the only thing that will work on both engines, so other than that the engine is worthless to me. If you would want to buy it please let me know, thanks.

Dependant upon the condition of the engine and how many we have on hand we only pay a couple hundred. You would probably have better luck with another member who needs a KA. Also, we're located in Iowa. : ) Enjoy your day!

Hey congrats Daunttless on the shop and website. I've been watching and waiting, and now it's finally here. My brother just got his insurance reimbursment for his totaled car, so maybe I can swing some bussiness your way.;)

Hang out omg. There are no specialty shops like your's daunttless around here they are like hillbilly bobs ac fixins. If I lived close to your shop you would have to pay me to leave I would stay there and be like the guy on the coach in half baked. Then very very slowly the master plan of getting a job would take effect and then you i will be *pause* mini d

I'm the barnes and noble of tuning shops. I'll be open till midnight and I'm gonna have a lounge with a big screen and entertainment center with couches and chairs for people to chill in. I don't care what people do so long as they aren't getting in trouble and they leave at Midnight. : )
