Well here's my car, the turbo setup put down 231hp 246tq to the wheels, at 6psi, I want something faster, I am selling the entire setup (email [email protected] if you're interested) to go with either a SR, or a RB25 in my S14, I am not giving up on the KA-T, I have a 94 Convertable for the KA-T, but it will be a new wild set-up, like nothing seen before.

Here's the current set-up, T3/T4, Log Manifold, 3 inch DP, 370cc's, Blow Through MAF setup, 30x11x2.5 FMIC

Now this S14 has a kouki front-end, and will have a widebody kit on it within the next month. My dilemma is, SR for cheaper right now, or wait a little more, and go RB25? I need help, I can't decide.

Well, if you go SR your going to have to upgrade it to even have a shot at coming close to 200HP to the wheels (they have 205 at the crank on stock boost) so think about FMIC or upgraded turbo... Even boost control wouldn't help too much if your wanting something faster than your KAT.

Now the RB wouldn't be a bad idea (more displacement and built w/ turbo inmind...) You might need some frame modifications to get the engine in there properly. I am not sure on this, but I believe some work would be necessary.

Just my 2 cents...

PS - How much did it cost you to turbo your KA?? And was it all custom or a kit? Just curious I have though about a turbo for my SOHC...

I guess if you are going to be earning money very soon then it's worth a wait to get a RB w/ BPU

BTW, how much boost can a stock KA take with stock internals and fuel injectors/pump upgrade?

The KA-T kit was put together by E&E Motorsports in Georgia here, they sponsor the car, but I was wanting something faster, and I'm just debating on what to go with instead. Their kit is a full custom kit, everything was fabricated, their kit runs 3600 installed. They do offer an equal length manifold and are working on a sheetmetal intake manifold, kind of like the veilside, just not nearly as exspenive.

On a stock KA, I have seen people run 17 psi on stock internals, but that is properly tuned, and not daily driven I assume. As long as proper fuel upgrades and management are added, and the vehicle is tuned properly it will hold up.

Go with the RB. Engine and transmission mounts are an easy find, and if you're looking for power right out of the box, it's hard to beat. The SR is good in that it has a HUGE aftermarket following, though I think many would argue that the RB isn't far behind.

I have a couple of other pics, but they are too big to post, what pics in particualr are you looking for? E&E motorsports is located west of Atlanta, in Powder Springs, just about 10 minutes from Barret Parkway. The kit is still up for sale, the kid that was buying it fell through on the money today, email me a [email protected] if you are interested in the kit.
