Whatz going on , well here is my problem, I have a 2006 maxima that has roughly 19000 miles on it, since I had my car I never really did any work on it cause I figure its a new car and regular visits to the Nissan maintance guys will keep my baby in shape, untill recently I have been noticing rust around my rotors, not on the rotor itself but the part that it fits into, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can get that rust out and what can I put on it to keep it from getting rust, I've seen guy sprayed the calipers and stuff like that I dont really know if spray painting it works, can you guys help me out. thanks for stopping by and reading about this, I appreciate your input, and plz pass on anything that will come in usefull. I think what I about to say goes for everyone, that I want to keep my car in the best condition possible, and seeing rust on it makes me kinda feel that I am not paying enough attention, so thanks again and I will be looking forward for your knowledge.

I am confused?Remove wheel and brake rotor, Go to town on the offending party with a wire wheel. Shoot the now shiny and rust free party with some spray paint. Preferably VHT or engine enamel.

rust from rotors is common and would surprise me if you found a rotor that didn't. it sounds like you are saying that the caliper is rusting. you can use caliper (or high temp) paint or have them powder coated (best) if you want to take them off. or you can be extremely lazy and paint the calipers while they are on, but I don't really recommend that.

now, if you're talking about when the rotor is completely off: if you take your rotor off, you will see your hub that it mounts on... this has a tendency to rust as well. don't worry about that, just put a little anti-seize on so the rotor won't rust on to the hub next time you need to change it.

Thanks for the response bro, I'm seriously thinking about doing the whole powder coating thing to it, I'll try and post some pics up so that you guys can see what I'm talking about......
