Reading around on SXOC, I found this thread:http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=118441

Can the knock sensor be removed and the EPROM tuned for it? Just wondering, because I know a lot of folks (including me intermitterdently) are having problems w/ knock sensor.

Too much of headache! Too much drama. Just leave it in there.

Why would you want to? I think they are a great safety device. I wouldn't remove a knock sensor anymore than I would REMOVE a rev limiter. They are one of the reasons that we use computers to control the motor...

knock sensors are useful if you're just getting into tuning as well

i belive that the horshams designs chips made by jezz use two identcal fuel maps to eliminate the effectiveness of the sensor, the knck sensor basicly just takes it out of the HI fuel map and puts it into the low octane map.
