So heres the deal, i have a pretty basic kit going, just need to know if i will be fine and what other things i should get.

I wasn't planing on going turbo so soon, but i could not let this turbo kit go.I figured if the turbo was messed up i could sell the manifold, elbow, down pipe n intercooler and make my money back. or keep it

anyways the kit was $400 and heres what i got.

T25 turbo (sr20)aft market manifold (dont know brand)3'' elbow3'' down pipegod speed fmic370cc injectors (sr20)

still to get:walboro 255 fuel pump

ECU???FPR??

now, my questions are; do i really need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? how do i go by tuning my ECU and where do i go? what else should i do engine wise? gaskets? do i need new head studs even though i will be running at about 8 psi??

thats about it for now, pic time!

Should i be concerned about that? looks like the guy before had an oil leak

well thats it for now, thanks for your time, and just as a heads up i have been all up on the search bar's a**, just wanna get sum info on my stuff and tips.

Sell the 370cc's and with that money buy an 8:1 FPR. Bolt everything else you have on. Start saving for a better setup.

Do everything in that order and you'll be golden. You still need oil lines, might I suggest the JGS t25 oil line kit. Once everything is working run it at 7-8 psi until the turbo fails. By then you should have enough funds to do a proper build.

Thats pretty sound advice IMO. Just FYI, the 8:1 FPR is also known as a FMU or RRFPR. It increase the fuel pressure 8 psi for every one lb of boost. It's a really good way to run low boost without the hassle of tuning. They are only $110.

reeally?? so no ECU tune at all? just use the FPR

i understand that if i use the 370cc injectors i will have to tune ecu, right? but wont using the stock injectors cap the hp much lower than using the 370s? i would like to atleast hit the 200hp mark

FMU + walbro 255 and it would be enough for 200hp

You're going to get a rom tune then I'd suggest getting 550cc injectors and a tune to match. The 370 + rom tune combo just isn't worth it in my opinion. The fmu will let you run 8-10 psi IF you bump back your base timing at the distributor. Say 2-3 degree's...

If you don't retard your base timing then don't boost more then 7psi. Basically retard the base timing to avoid detonation and you'll have a really fun daily driver.

Like suggested, the 255lph walbro fuel pump is a must have item for any boosted setup.

looks like they are selling a walbro 255 under their name. With it being that cheap it might be one of those cheap knock-offs. I would stick to getting a real walbro. Also, your mixing up what a fpr is and a fmu.....they are two different things. You can keep your stock fpr and just put a fmu on it. I had a blox on mine but, vortech is better imo.

I see, would i need to get the recalibration kit to set it at 8psi or just leave it at its fixed psi (12 i think) and regulate the psi at the stock fpr?
