(Update PICS below)

Gettin ready to order the JGS turbo kit... i just want to know if the JGS AGP/Turbonetics is a knock off turbo or not??? whats up with the AGP. Im debating buying the kit with the turbo or not.

And do you guys recomend the .50trim .63 A/R To4e tubo. or go with a higher trim or just get a GT series turbo?? GT32-33 Ect. im doing a full forged and camed engine build over the winter time and i want to get a tubo that will produce 450-500rwhp.

I don't have any experience with the JGS stuff. I used them for my torque specs on my ARP hardware when assembling my engine. Other than that, nothing.

Sorry I couldn't help, but this needs bumped so someone can read it with some experience in the kit you speak of.

I've seen people with many of the parts from JGS in their car, but I can't say if I remember them having the kit, or just misc parts..

JGS makes excellent parts. As for the turbos they sell I do believe they are authentic turbonetics turbos. I started with the gt32 now I have the gt35 with right at 530-535 whp, it spools a little later but I have a nx kit to help out with that. I'm actually considering setting up the rear of the car and changing everything for a gt42r. If I decide to do that I'm going to put a glide in the car and see what it will run.

You should consider a different (tubular) manifold for over 300whp.

Why JGS works just fine and he has proven it on multiple occasions.

I would think the jgs would stand up to at least 450whp with there mani.

It can handle as much power as you have fuel for, someone just hasn't pushed their setup to the extreme limits with a big turbo yet to really honestly say it will handle x amount of power. You can make good power with a log, yeah sure on a balls out car a tubular will make more power but do you really want a crazy amount of power? Besides you sound like you want something to last a long time headache free. I'm not knocking anyone but people generally have fewer problems from a cast log than a tubular(ie: cracking, warping). I just bought a used jgs mani from jmwenick that is going on my 4x4 with built engine so I'm only looking for around 350 or so.

Well I can vouch for the JGS stuff fitting perfectly with the DP.

I'm however, more interested in seeing a bigger version of your Avatar pic :-p

One of the fastest S14's to date ran a log manifold...anyone who says they suck is simply wrong. Tubular IS better, but for the money...it's a no brainer IMO.

Dead thread awakening.

I orderd the JGS kit last monday the 1st without wastegate .50trim .63 A/R.

I was stupid enough to use paypal and now they have been holding my money since monday and jgs wont even see it till the 4th when its cleared from paypal or some bull crap, But im exciteted. I got my Tial bov and tial wastegate and 255l pump coming from AMS. Greddy ka24det intercoller kit with hotpipe. I got my 740cc side feed injectors. fuel reg kit. plx wideband with dataloging. ordering my downpipe and exhuast soon. allready have my boost and oil pressure guages and pod. i have to decide on a clutch yet. and i have to find a 94-95 ecm for a bikirom installation in a 98 s14. Battery is relocated to trunk. making a egr block off plate. going to get rid off all the Evap **** and charcoal tank in the back... just got to figure out how to vent the tank. my bigged part of the project is to cut the holes for ic pipes and figure out how other people install there intercoolers and start cuttin stuff.

But otherwise i feel like a little kid wating for toys, or in my case huge boxes on my porch.

If anyone cares i'll take pics of all the crap coming lol.

Thanks for all the help guys, Chad

Congrats man! Take lots of pics!

And if you need anything, feel free to ask. That's what we're here for. I don't know much, but I'm pretty good for giving poor information, and then having someone come in and correct me!

I bought the JGS exhaust mani and dump pipe. I can't complain. Fitting was perfect. Although the scream tube creates a hell of a demon-like sound that will haunt any child's dreams that you happen to pass by. Take a look at my build thread for some IC piping ideas and JGS mani fitting

Ok so got off my butt and tooks some pics. Heres everything in my guest room that is of importance for everyone here. All the other stuff is still boxed up and i did not feel like taking it out.... but heres what i got laying around

JGS ka24de turbo kit .63ARTial 38mm WGTial Bovebay Fmicfuel pump....guages and random stuff... hardware...

Overall im very satisfied with the JGS kit and SERVICE!! there are a few things inside the downpipe and mani im going to clean up with a wire wheel and angle grinnder. (would not recomend unless you know what you are doing) otherwise out of the box this is an amazing kit for the price... you can not go wrong. next parts to be orderd are all the engine parts for a full tedious race spec engine build over the winter. If anyone wants any pic of a certain thing just let me know.

That's awesome

Can't wait until I get enough money saved to buy this kit. Did you order your FMIC kit for an SR or did you find one for a KA?

I found one for a ka24det on ebay.... It looks like a sr20det fmic but the gave me a few more elbows and pipes.... but none the less its not a direct bolt on. I need to weld on my WG bracket and make my own ic mounts and probly get custom mandreal bent tubing made coming off the compressor but it might fit up.

If you dont mind me asking, how much did all this run you in total. It looks like you have a very good setup for stock motor, which is what i hope to be going with soon.

Everything that i feel is needed just to get the turbo engine going. Example:Jgs turbo kit, Tail Wg-Bov, 255lfuel pump,740cc injectors, fuel reg kit, downpipe, fmic, Guages boost-oilpress, wideband, perf tune, boost controler, Maf, Batter relocation, misc hardware and scrap metal, clutch-flywheel, Oils and gaskets and little other things. I buy everything brand new and im very anal about parts quality, reviews and function. Except for my used N62 Maf. all said and done and no engine build its about $5500 give or take a 100. to fully get my boosted engine done RIGHT. or the way I want it.

If your a real penny pincher and really look around and get some used parts you could get a setup like this for a little less. But the money i pay goes along way with customer Service and peice of mind. I have no problem paying a little extra for the two.
