I'd like to use a direct wire power cords for my radar detector and GPS.

The radar detector is on the upper windshield. In other cars, I've run the wire down the pillar to the fuse panel or tapped into map lights.

I've mounted the GPS next to the temp control using the device half of a ProClip mount and some 3M Dual Lock (similar to EZ Pass mounting strips). I should be able to get to the fuse panel from there.

Guess I'm a little hesitant to be poking around and damage a brand new car . . . any hints/tricks/suggestions??

Thanks!

People have used the fuse box with good results. Use a digital volt meter to find a switched hot wire or an always hot wire, depending on what you need for both units.
