Any possibility of getting a little power out of the z24?

I have an sr, but im putting it in my car. So don't suggest its my daily driver so im not trying to do anything crazy, i just kinda want enough power to slide it.

ive heard you can use the KA24E(single cam 240) Header?

they make headers for the z24... but they're for the 720 not the hardbody... should fit though.

you can get some power out of the z24 by throwing fuel and timing at it while deleting emissions controls... back when mine was on street tires it would slide quite a bit and i didn't even want it to, and it still does occasionally even on the race tires without trying

you have the fuel injected model though, so the whole throwing fuel and timing at it thing is a little trickier than mine with the carb

I already removed all the emissions to my knowledge. No AC, no PS. But does the single cam KA headers fit? Cause the can be found cheaper.

Headers won't bring about much power gain at all, save your money for other go fast mods.

^ yeah that

not sure on the KA headers fitting... you'd have to measure out the bolt pattern... either way it needs to be from a truck not the 240 to avoid clearance issues

my headers netted me.... MAYBE 2 HP... the custom exhaust setup i have gave me a total of 10 HP roughly... not bad for how low HP the truck is but the header really didn't do a lot besides cause a huge f*** racket... went from being loud to sounding like i have no muffler even tho i do

I have an exhaust already. I was just gonna get a header cause the stock one looks like dog s***. I found on the KA motor that headers make it sound like s*** and be slower. Lol.
