Here is the background on my project.I just bought a 1991 240sx stick with the super hicas(sp) and the factory lsd rear end.I also just bought a complete sr20det and trans with the full install kit.

I am doing the install myself (not my first engine swap rodeo)I am Adding a 24x12x3 fmic, walbro fuel pump, mbc, 550 injectors, and a bov that vents into the intake(not sure what brand). My goal is to push 250hp to 280hp and have a reliable fun car to drive.

Is there anything I am missing?

If you're upgrading injectors then you're probably going to get a ECU tune and you might as well get a z32maf if youre going to get it tunned so you dont have to tune twice.

Like otterman said, you're going to need something to reprogram the ecu to compensate for larger injectors. This would require a rom tune/piggyback/or standalone. I also don't see you hitting 280 at the wheels with the stock t25 reliably. There have been dynos posted every now and then showing people who did it, but you're really starting to run out of efficiency at the 240ish marker. From there on out, you'd just be generating a great deal of heat, and not much power. Unless you ordered an s14 motorset, I'd suggest going to an s15 turbo.

I don't see any kind of exhaust, downpipe, turbo outlet, etc listed, so that should be up there on the list. I also wouldn't bother putting the 550's in until you get a bigger turbo and crank up the boost. I'd be more concerned with getting the motor running in stock trim before adding parts, and doing basic maintenance.

Other things to think about: New radiator. Not that the stocker can't keep up. But after 15 years of use, you may think about replacing. Overheating is never fun anyway. Also, get yourself a decent boost gauge and water temp gauge.

ahhh, good thinking, I will aim more for the 240hp mark then, the exaust was upgraded by the previous owner its 2.5 and has a test pipe on it already sorry I didnt mention that...so then I should be all set. do you think I should still do the injectors and fuel pump? or is that over kill?

Fuel pump def! I really wouldn't worry about injectors until you get the basic stuff covered. Intercooler, radiator, exhaust, clutch, turbo timer and some other stuff I cant remember right now. Fuel pump is something thats a need for the sr swap.

Like I said before when you upgrade your injectors your going to need to reprogram your ecu. I've heard the safest is getting it done professional by Jimwolf or that company whos I can never remember whos name starts with an E. And if you're going to reprogram you should get a bigger MAF (300zxTT aka Z32 is the most commonly used) because that needs a ECU tunning when installed and that's a pretty much standard upgrade when going for more power.

Enthalpy ecu tune. But for a mostly stock setup like you have so far(not including injectors), I wouldn't even worry about it yet until later when you're ready to put the injectors in and raise the boost.

Fuel pump is a must for our 15 year old tired stock one.

Yeh, I bought a new walbro off ebay this morning. I think I may just do the swap with the intercooler and let it run at 7lbs boost stock and just enjoy it, I figure with the stock jap spec sr20det and the exhaust, fmic, and fuel pump, I should be around 220 hp and I think that is enough to have alot of fun with. everything should be here friday so I should be able to start tear down sunday. This should be a fun project, and I will make a yahoo photo album step by step to document the whole swap so mabye someone else can benifit from it as well.I will try to post pictures as I go.

i just did my swap and im happy with the almost all stock components. all i have a is a turbo mani, downpipe, high flow cat and 3 inch exhaust, flywheel and clutch. im probably gonna get a manual boost controller, SAFC and a widband o2 sensor, boost to 10 lbs and be done with it. i just want it to run safely! but yeah, power is pretty decent as it is.
