Doing a steering rack swap, I am stuck with taking tie rod inners off of the rebuilt steering rack which I just put in.

Thinking that the rebuilder might have applied some locktites, I torched the tie rod and saw some flames, possibly from locktites. But with crescent wrench and pushing it with jack, I still can't take tie rod inner off.

What are the other ways to take these off while on the car before taking the car to a shop? I can't even bring this car to a shop because my tie rod end is 14mm and these tie rod inners are stock 13mm...

a long pipe attached to the wrench after applying the blow torch. If you need it, put the jack at the far end of the pipe and give the jack a couple cranks till the sucker pops off.

Problem was that my car was not on the lift so had no space for the pipe. But got it off after several more tries. Thanks a lot for the tip.

I guess that, for people with only jack stands, monkey wrench and jack is the only option available...
