Bit the bullet and bought what I hope are the best tires I've had on my Q.

Michelin Pilot Exalto A/SSize: 225/60/15Service Des: VLoad Rating: 96UTQG: 400 A AMax Load: 1565 lbsMax Infation Press: 44 psiTread Depth: 10/32"Tire Weight: 25 lbsRim Width Range: 6-8"Meas Rim Width : 6.5"Sect Width: 9.1"Overal Diam: 25.6"Revs Per Mile: 812

I'm not exactly sure of what pressure to run them, 35psi?

I'm also doing new brakes soon and struts before too many more miles. Tokio Blues.

Getting them at Costco with lifetime balancing, rotation, and road hazard for about $440.

And Nitrogen fill.

Be sure your next stop is at an alignment shop, or don't drive it until you have new links, tension rods, any other worn rubber, then align it.

Ok. I guess you're right. I don't want my really cool tires to wear out prematurely with other suspension components being worn out. So with my suspension overhaul we're looking at:

New Tires

New StrutsNew Dust Cover Boots

New Brake PadsNew Brake FluidInspect Rotors

New Tension Rod Bushings (Can these just easily pressed out and in in home garage?)

Check Ball Joints and replace as needed

Repack Wheel Bearings?

End with an Alignment.

Sure, if you have a 5 ton press. Machine shops usually do.

Yes ... around 35 to 36psi would be right. Measured cold, with an accurate pressure gauge, in the garage, in the morning, without even the sun getting a chance to warm them up!

Good deal.

I've had a set of those on my 97 Q for a few months now and they are very nice tires -- the best I have tried. Great handling, braking, and ride quality. Q45 Tech in one post recommended the Pilots for the FY33 models and he provided very good advice as usual.

I also got mine at Costco, during a $60 off sale. I was there last Saturday and a similar tire sale was being advertised on a banner so a sale must be underway or about to begin.

Is it too late to get rid of them and buy Bridgestones?

Depens on which Bridgestones you mean. The Pilot Axalto is a fine general-purpose tire ...

you will be happy with the exalto- coming from someone with 30,000 miles experience with them-much better all around than the pilot xgt series they superceeded{ I also had 3 sets and over 100,000 miles of experience on the Q with those}
