Hey all...

I'm finally going to be getting an SR20DET. I'm having a shop here in SoCal do the swap for me. This is what i'm gonna get with it:

S13 Blacktop, S14 VLSD, Profec B boost controller Spec II, Greddy Type S bov, Blitz Dual Turbo timer, ACT street clutch, Walbro Fuel pump, Nismo mounts, "Hybrid" FMIC Kit (big), Rocker arm stoppers, 3" down pipe..

Ya.. It's gonna cost a lot. Anyway.. I'm really glad about it, I hope to run around low 14s/high 13s @12psi. That sound about right? Is there anything I need to know about owning a SR powered 240?

I was hanging out with my friend and since I'm getting an SR I raced his Supercharged Mr2 to see the difference. I also got a race with a 91 Mustang GT, I rocked him off the line but he pulled at about 70.

I hear the rocker arm stoppers are well well worth it to prevent destroying the motor from overreving. How mucha re you paying for your setup?

Wow.. about how much power do you think an S13 SR20DET with ApexDual N1, 3in downpipe, Big front mount intercooler, @12psi would put down? You think i'd run mid 13s? That would sure be nice...

240sxer: What shop are you going with? I'm in Socal too and was going with McKinney Motorsports when the time comes. Also, if you know a good place for a "smog check" let me know:D

I'm putting the SR in the 95. It's my baby. See how I baked that Mustang off the line? My car was detonating and running like crap. I was probably only running mid 16s or so. When they finally passed me at like 80mph they waved and were all impressed with themselves. Like their car was sooo much faster. I'm getting it done at garage works. http://www.garageworksltd.com

I got my car back. It's pretty quick. On stock boost (which appears to be reduced because i'm at 2700ft) I ran (on the gtech), 15.14@97mph I'm sure I could have done a lot better but I need to learn how to drive it better. At 8-9psi on the controller I ran a [email protected]. The mph on the gtech seems a little high, but the time seems about right. Now I've gotta get my BF 275/50R15 Goodrich Comp T/A Drag Radials then take it to the track. I'd say the tire is overkill but for anyone that's raced at LACR we all know the track is slippery. Especially when it's cold out.

I also wanted to see if I have a governor... If I do, it's well over 118. I took it down to what should be around 130mph. I could barely stop after that, I never went that fast before. I see why many people get the brake upgrade. With an SR you kinda need it.

I'll have pictures and videos soon (camera is out of battery at the moment).

With that same setup in my s13 i ran a 13.5 at just 9psi of boost. I used old *** drag radial. You will be suprised once you run the car.

S13 blacktop motor... I'm trying to get the boost right with the controller. I ran 14.4@101mph at 8psi now.. I think once I get my launch down and shift into 4th a bit better i'll run pretty good. The boost kept spiking but I think i've got that all taken care of now.

I have a sr20det redtop. on my 13.5 run my trap speed was 99mph. My wastegate spring was very limp and the best i could get was 9psi and then the car would drop in boost to about 7psi at 5500rpm. This was also with 1.8 60ft times. That makes a world of diffrence.

My S14 is heavier so I doubt i'll be able to do that will. I just want to run in the 13s on pump gas.

I know S14's are heavier but I love the clean lines of them :)
