I'm super excited, I found a clean '94 vert w/ 89,000mi a couple weeks ago and am picking it up tomorrow. I'm going to post pictures as soon as I can, I've been living on this forum for the past couple weeks reading everything I can to figure out what I want to do. You guys are great, so much information on here.

Since I have a pretty low miles car I was thinking about putting a turbo on the stock KA and doing a manual swap for now. Once the engine gets some wear on her I can spring for a SR swap then. The nice thing is my roommate(the homeowner) is going to let me take over the garage so I will have a sweet workshop soon.

Edit: Here are the pics.

If it's clean, try not to do too many "tuner" mods or drift it into a wall. 'Verts are getting more rare every year.

Welcome to NICO :)

No way am I doing any of that crap. If I ever decide to go that route (doubtful) I would get a cheap shell and build a drift car from the ground up. This car is going to be my baby. I'll do some engine upgrades and some other performance stuff, but I'm not going over 250-300hp. I might not even do a turbo on the KA, just do an SR swap, and keep the KA in storage so I can go back to stock if needed.

I've got a car for a daily driver, this one will be garage kept and be maintained. I realize these are rare, and will do my best to keep it in mint condition.

And why are you so set on a SR if you only want 250-300hp?

From what I have read they are fairly easy to swap. I'll only be pushing 8psi or so to get around 250 so the engine shouldn't take too much of a beating and would theoretically last longer than a KA-T pushing more PSI to get the same HP. I could go with a KA-T, and that's still an option, I'm just talking out loud right now. I won't be able to afford much until this summer anyway so I have a lot of time to think it over.

Yeah there is a little bit of rust on both rear fenders and a little when you open the door. Apparently the first owner didn't have a garage, but kept a cover on it. The last owner had it in his garage and never took it out when it was raining or during winter. I'm going to keep it in the garage.

That is a great find. Do the manual swap, keep it clean and maintain well... Of course, post in vert forum.
