That is very possible because PA has some of the crappiest roads in the country! Seriously though...it really doesn't seem to matter how smooth or rough the road is. The slightest flex or vibration causes all kinds of creaks and pops from the dash. Sometimes it seems like it happens just from changes in temperature. It's very irritating. I honestly think it may have something to do with how the Versa's dash is made up of several different sections all pieced together. There are seams all over the place. Maybe if it were more of a one-piece design it wouldn't happen so much. Who knows.kc5f wrote:Maybe you ride over worse roads than I do, Matt...
I'm just shy of 4k miles myself.BillyBeaneBall wrote:I have yet to notice any of this but to tell the truth I owned Versa Uno for only 7K miles before I killed it and am only at 4K with "The Deuce"
And it's been that way for the more than 40 years I've been driving those roads. But even in PA, my Versa is still the quietest car I've ever owned. Just got the Versa back yesterday. My wife took it to Tennessee for a week. The first thing I noticed when I got back behind the wheel was how quiet it was. And didn't have the stereo on.matt_a wrote:That is very possible because PA has some of the crappiest roads in the country!
Wow, you've got similar naming conventions to me. Hehe... V#1 was "Vince", and V#2 is "Vince's Vengeance" aka "V Squared".BillyBeaneBall wrote:I have yet to notice any of this but to tell the truth I owned Versa Uno for only 7K miles before I killed it and am only at 4K with "The Deuce"
Ummm, well, I sorta "borrowed" the idea from you...I'm getting tired of typing "My first Versa that I killed" and "My new Versa"...I've been around long enough most people have had to have heard the story by now, LOL. The trick was finding the right names to use.Ever Victorious wrote:

I think the should tip you off.equlizer wrote:i wouldnt spray anything on or in the dash if i were you.
I've been trying to tell folks about this stuff for a long time - you can get 8.5x11 sheets of it for something like $0.50, and it comes in all sorts of colors to (hopefully) match your car's interior parts, too. My G developed quite a few rattles and I've been able to find and eliminate all but one of them (sunroof visor) at least partially with that thin craft foam. It's kind of fun (for me, at least) doing this sort of work, and you can easily do it so it's discreet.equlizer wrote:same here with the windsheild area. Is it getting cold where everyone lives? It is here
I just took some of that fun foam (thin stuff) and cut it in strips and forced it in between all the cracks. Took me about 45 mins to get them all but no more squeaks or creaks
If, you hear those noises closer to the windshield and its not cold outside, your windshield may have not been properly set.
Gee, Bubs, it's just a car. You shouldn't let little noises bother you like that!Bubs daddy wrote:...I was creaking and moaning like crazy...
