I have a Greddy exhaust cam gear coming from Nengun performance, but it literally will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. So order it now and do like I do...sit around and wait on it.

Full gasket kits are everywhere, just search google.

N1 pumps you can find all over the place too. (phase2motortrend comes to mind)

I have no idea on the main bearings...maybe they share part numbers with a USDM motor. I can't get F.A.S.T to work on my computer, so maybe somebody else can help you out with that.

Hey Carl, I don't know if you are looking for Nissan brgs. or aftermarket but I'm in the same boat on bearings. I was not sure on getting which, I am almost ready to order brgs myself, just have to finish stripping my RB20 and take the measurments. But for all it's worth since I'm only shooting for 350-400 ,I have been buying mostly Nissan stuff for my rebuild so far from Nissan Motorsports (Paul StClare) got all so far in 6 weeks (engine gaskt set,t-belt,all sprockets,w/pmp.etc.) ,except the N-1 pump (backordered so hard to get right now,His last order of 20+,and only received 2) so canclled it and getting a RB20 pump. Was speaking with him and he mentioned the stock brgs would be more than adaquet for my potenetal outcome. So this kinda made up my mind, now just got get a few warm days and I'm in.I just thought I would post some food for thought Carl, Since I don't post very often ,I'd thought I could give a helping hand.Good luck

OR

The local skyline owners but harder to find parts this way. LMK

Stewart Wilikins Motorsport [Australia] [RB20/25/26/30]: Replacement Internals (bearings,rods,pistons...etc). I've E-mailed them and they can get things not on their website and they have no problems shipping to the US.

Maybe that's cause he already has a set of CP pistons and is reusing the stock rods. Those are the easiest parts to find. Thank goodness for oversquare motors the rods don't have near as much stress has hondas.~ANDREW~

Carl,

I have a used stock intake cam timing belt sprocket off my rb20det, in good condition. It's yours for $10 shipping if you still need one. I replaced both cam gears with a set off ebay ($150ish).

I'm looking for gaskets and exh manifold studs and other rebuild parts too, I know your pain!

[email protected] if you want that sprocket.

Phase2 has exhaust manifold studs but they charge an arm and a leg for them. I think they run like 15 bucks a piece. I can probably get the studs if you guys could hook me up with what size ie length, width, strength, pitch, thread. I know a bolt distributor and he can get almost anything. I have got the most obscure bolts from him even grade 12. So if anyone knows let me know and I will order a bunch and I'm sure it will be cheaper.~ANDREW~

Local Nissan dealer couldn't find me anything, he referred me to a local fastener specialty store...

I saw those studs on Phase2, they are made by ARP for Phase2 right? $200 for the complete set

The studs are m10 x 1.25 pitch, we need 12 of them. I am not 100% sure on the lengths, I haven't measured them but I would guess they are around 50-60mm (can someone confirm). Also not sure if they are all the same length, or if they all have the same amount of thread on both ends? I'll check them later tonight.

I have to take off my head to reseat the head gasket after I had the entire motor in and ready to run. So in the process of taking the exhaust manifold off, I broke two bolts, but don't really know if I was the one who broke them. They turned like they were made of hot butter. So now I too am in the market for some exhaust manifold studs. I can confirm what mello88 lists for lengths. I know the studs have uneven thread length.

I'm also in the process of drawing my exhaust manifold gasket into autocad so yellow_jacket can make a copper one. Should be 0.02-0.03 in. thick according to Corky Bell.

Since there is a lot of talk about bearings both main and rod in this thread, I think my question fits here. How do you know what size bearings to order (undersized/oversized)? Do you have to measure the crank and rods for their exact diameters and then order individual bearing sizes for each journal?? I'm a bit confused on this as I originally thought it was a one-size-fits-all. Can someone help a newb out.

RB's have different sets of "standard" sizes and oversize bearings. The factory RB25 has 3 different standard main bearings. Acl and other aftermarket companies just carry one size i believe, so you may have to machine the crank to match the bearing sizes.I mic'd my crank and block and found they were still in the original spec.

very true, most nissan motors if taken care of will not wear much.we pulled down a kinda nasty ka (long oil change intervals, cheap oil, blah blah blah) machine shop mic'ed the crank and rod journals and they were still in original spec.nissan runs tight tollerances from the factory so there is little room for error, but as i said before if taken care of they will be fine and you can usaly just get the same spec bearings as you pulled out.

Looks like you may be able to find the stuff you need but the shipping is what is going to kick you... Thats wat sux about the RB's they need to make to parts easier to access as if it were a SR... Good luck if I run into anything I'll Def let you know.

If anyone has any problems getting ANYTHING for an RB, i HIGHLY suggest you contact Sean at Takara Motors. If he doesn't have it on hand, he can locate it. [email protected]
