getting Ford Excursion gas milage. help!!

so i drive an 89' coupe with a 91 motor. stick. umm basically stock besides inatke, exhaust, and rims. nothing that will make my milge as garbage as it is. im running rich i know that. and i am using the maf from my sohc. i have a safc 2 but i dodnt hook it up yet. any good advice.

tune up, and timing will be the usual culprits here. check em out.

any writeups on exactly how to check/adjust my timing? the full tune up was just done. thanks

There should be a full walkthrough in the FSM. I think there is a section in technical on downloading the full service manuals. Very easy to use, just go to engine matenance or whatever and read up! Good luck.
