So I finally got everything done on my motor swap and turbo install as far as hardware and connections as far as i am sure. The problem is when i turn the key nothing happens. No fuel pump..nothing. I checked a few grounds i could see and couldnt see ne problems. Now i have also eliminated a few things from the car so there are some unconnected connectors. I am wondering if i possibly left a vital one undone.

What is required to start it? connector and ground wise. Also does anyone know the voltage that should be coming to the ingnition (key part) on the 3 diff settings? I am not even getting a volt when i turn the key.(

i used the turbo nobrand cheap ebay manifold from phase2motortrend(got ripped off could of got for cheaper on ebay) and yes, right where the downpipe and cat meets have about 1.5" gap. so what i did was custom a 3" test pipe which costed me about $60. flanges from frsport.com

i dont know if anyone experience same with t2 manifold. i have blitz 3" d/p and megan racing elbow, but seems like sr hotpipe fits good.

Sounds like a dead battery really. Did you move your battery to the trunk? Double check all the wiring and everything for it.

I plan on relocating the battery but just hooked it up as normal to get the engine to crank for the time being. The battery is also reading 13v and I wanna say it barely moves when we hit the key. it is very possible it is shot...its been on the charger for a while ( im tryin to salvage it.its an optima) but like i said its reading 13v on the charger and 12.5v off.

Take a picture of the red top batt.

There was a batch where they put the battery terminals in a different spot and something bad happened. They were sold for less then standard red-tops and were GARBAGE.

I have two dead "Optima Red-Tops" in my shed out back. I will almost guarntee you it's garbage. I had mine and it kept dying and I tried charging it and kept saying 'full' on my charger and it clearly was not.

This is especially true if purchased at Pep Boys or Costco.

Well I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a new optima, they said the old one wasnt good so I guess that answers that. Ill post pics of the old one tom.

On a side note after checcking countless relays and fuses we figured out that the car wont run at all without the alternator hooked up. I didnt think that was nescessay but guess so.

However now, the fuel pump isnt getting power. hot wired it to battery and it works, 12v at fuse if i remember correctly and the relay works. I have read that somtimes the ecu or wiring can cause this problem. is there a way to check and see if the signal runs uncorrupted to the pump? also how would i go about checking just he signal wire from the ecu? So if anyone has any advice feel free to chime in. Other than that I should have it running by the end of the week

Check the ground wire on the bottom of the relay in the front of your engine bay, on the left side looking at the front of your car. Mine wasn't connected and my fuel pump didn't work

That's exactly where I mean.

Apparently it's happened to a couple 240s around here...
