getting engine rebuilt with possible turbo?

1986 300ZX non turbo 5sp

i figure there would be no problem putting the turbo manifold and everything onto a non turbo vg30de. The engines arent any different right? I want to get the engine rebuilt with 300ZX twin turbo pistons, anything else i should no? Should i use the ecu from a turbo z31? Please give me some help hear

How much would it cost to get the engine rebuilt, were should i go. Anyone have any tips?

the 86 300z is a different engine the heads are no where near the same.

Its a vg30e in your 86 the z built 90 to 96 are vg30de

,its been awhile, but I dont think they are much different other then internals. pistons,rods and bearings.
