I am back to my 17mpg mixed hard driving, havent had mpg like that since i bought the car in 1997

Get a 4.08 rearend (not mine) & watch your gas mileage go down to about 13~14mpg.

I wouldn't say so.On HWY on avrg 2/3 of a MPG less and in town I see a slight increase in MPG. I am on second tank (first was avrg 18.5). I am calculating with correction for different gear. (approx 15% difference).4.08 diff give different shift pattern, lover rpm in town and easier life all the way around, I really like it!Another thing speedo off on safe side - you travel slower than speedo shows (I like it!). Will report later with MPG after 4-5 tanksCheers!

that is what i got befor rebuild

Doesnt surprise me because you now have a torque converter that locks up!!!
