If i remember correctly, I read on a post somewhere here that if you pop off that piece of the dash that sits above the center console you can then get access to pulling out the center console. Is that correct? Using a flathead screwdriver i was able to create quite a bit of separation but it felt like there was something toward the back holding it in. I don't want to force it and break something... Anyway, what have other people done to pull that out?

thanks for the help.

Yep, thats the way to do it. It will feel like it is going to snap but it wont. If you run the flat head along the whole width then take both hands on either side and pull towards you and up it should pop right off.

One I get the top piece off and undo the screws, will it just pop out? what's the trick to getting the actual face plate off? (the part around the stereo)

It disables your passenger air bag and forces you to pay your Nissan dealer $100 to reset it.

I was at a custom audio shop today and they said that unplugging the airbag indicator only if you put the key in the ignition. Can anyone confirm this?
