Getting back into it, need a new engine

I am about to get started again with my 240 and I'd like to learn where people are getting their motors from now? I intend to remove my CA19 and put a SR in. The downside, I'm closer to Canada than I am to either coast. I spoke with an old friend out in Temecula this morning and he recommended importers in Canada. Can anyone share the names of any reputable shops? I'd really appreciate it! My 240 has been on blocks for the last few years and I'd like to get it back on the road.

I've seen a lot of people vouch that they got their SR from there. If I remember correctly, I found them because of positron. He made a how to rebuild an SR thread a while back. It may even be in the stickies.. I don't remember.

Ok.. Unfortunately, they don't have the SR I'm searching for and I'm looking to get an order placed this week. Are there any other recommendations?

I'm looking for a S13 black-top SR motorset. I'd also be happy if whoever they are also have a CA as well. I'd like to rebuild my CA19 while I'm rebuilding the SR. I already have leads for rebuild parts for SR, it's the CA that's harder to come by. As I mentioned earlier, I intend to install the SR. I'm not interested in which is better but a black-top SR should have fewer miles than a regular red-top.

Try contacting [email protected] Let him know you're from NICO. I know they have a package they sell, but I'm pretty sure it's typically redtops. I'm sure if you requested a blacktop, they may be able to hook you up, though.

Really? I think I know Ken from another forum and back overseas. There was a guy I met on my regular forum that started working for them. I'll have to check with them and see what they have. I'd prefer to find some place closer to where I am in MN, the shipping costs could be scary.

Well, now I have to wait and see what Ken comes up with. I was working with him in the past and I hope he can come through this time.

In all honesty though, I'm still interested in learning about any other reputable sellers. Is there a listing of sellers and any feedback about them?
