Hey guys, I was sitting in my car and had an idea . yyaayy.

Ok, the seatbelts will "retract" or go into the position so you can get out of the car when you open the door. What seemed a little inconvenient to me is that it is kind of slow and you have to wait. So what I've been doing is I slightly open the door so the belts start retracting as soon as I park, then I do my turn off engine, bla bla bla routine.

What I was thinking of doing was being able to get the belts to move themselves, as soon as the igntion power -> acc power. or something similar.

I'm not exactly sure how to get this done correctly w/o comprising anything in the existing system (i.e. seatbelts retracting while driving, or not retracting w/ the door open). All I figure is there is gonna be a gang of relays and some wires hooked up, haha.

Any inputs/comments/advice on whether to do it or not do it would be great. Yes, I know I'm lazy, I just want some luxury in my life!

This doesn't answer your question, and for that I apologize, but you might try them completely disabled for a few days and see how you like it. I don't like waiting for them either and, as it turns out, I'd rather manually swing the belt over my head when I get out then put up with the automated motors.

Just food for thought...
