Well i spotted a car that i liked about 2 weeks ago. Ever since then ive been trying to get up $300 to get it, but so far have been unsucesfull at doing so. Well tonight i call the guy and tell him i cant get up the money and ask if he could hold the car for me. He asks if i had any guns or something i can trade. Well i have a Honda Elite 150 motor scooter, so i tell him about it. Well he tells me to meet him 10am friday morning to trade the scooter for the car. Now for the car. Its a 1981 Datsun 210 Wagon. It has a 1.5L motor with a 5sp and its RWD!...... As for the body its as close to perfect as a 81 can get. No rust at all, all the paint is good and the interior is in great shape (except for the drivers seat)... Im not really sure what im doing with it other than a daily driver and a surfing car.

Yup ive had my fairshare of them. Im thinking of rebuilding the L20 motor from the Datsun truck and putting it in the wagon.

There's a really good condition L18 72 510 with original everything for sale in the paper for $1800. Think I should look into it? Sorry about ganking the thread but I didn't think this important enough to warrant its own thread...

DUDE.....If you build an L20B for it, SELL ME the A15 in it!!! I need an A15 SOOOOOOOOOO bad. I want to get my 210 running and the cheapest motor I can find is a $1200 reman motor. So yeah, keep me updated on that, cuz i seriously badly want to buy your A15 off of you.

hey torry, why don't you just grab a L16 from somewhere and throw it in? Is there some custom work involved or what not?

Well the U-joint has been fixed and shes up and running great. And Torry the guy told me it had a 1.5 but the ID plate says A14(S) as the motor, but hell the ID plate also says it a B310. And this thing has AC and a 4sp transmission.

B310 is correct, that is the chassis code for the 81 210.

Well, I could throw anything in. But I want to use the car as simply a beater car/parts getter, etc. And the easiest swap would be the same engine it currently has, the A15. If I can't find one, I may drop in a CA18ET or something some day. Who knows. The A15 would be easy though....it's just replacement.

I'd rebuild the motor, but I think the block is cracked.
