getting an rb20 soon i have some ????

so im getting an rb20 soon i should be ordering next week and what i want to know is..well its pros and cons. I know that there is a thread stating those but the list is too short, im sure there is more. Also..as far as maintence wise were do you guys get your spark plugs...gaskets ..stuff like that..thanks in advance

Assuming the engine is already out of the car, the subframe should be straight foward.. First unbolt any lines that are attached.. Then unbolt the subframe from the steering rack... Should be 4 bolts, 2 on each side then there's two more bolts on each side attaching it to the frame rails.. After that u should be able to pull it out no problem...

When I did it I took down the whole rack with the subframe attached.. Then i took the subframe off while it was all out...but that's coz I was painting the engine bay... So its not necessary... But makes things easier when ur trying to make a 14 year old engine bay look new again

my friend told me that the transmission wouldnt line up right with a x member...true or false?

has your friend installed one?chances are no, becasue if it didnt line up using the xmember i'll be damned if my car supports the trans by its self using the r32 xmember.there is a lot of hearsay on the internet but the proof is there and it does indeed work, make sure to use the r32 trans xmember.

yeah he tried using the x member and gor rid of it and just bought mounts

i used the r32 rb xmember and it line up fine. probably your friend doesn't know what he's doing. if you order a rb20 front clip, there's everything you need.

he said the transmission doesnt line up good...do you guys have pics of your set ups with xmembers it would help alot cause i really dont want to spend 400 dollars on motormounts
