Anybody try and put a hitch on a newer 2009/2010 fx35 with the full 360 degree and all the other sensors? I'm worried as to what type of hitch to put on so that it doesn't interfere with anything operational on the car. Any help and/or specific links as to what/where you bought would be awesome help. Thanks

These types of vehicles are not really designed to tow anything. Even though you can but be prepared for damages [accelerated wear] to the rear subframe and other components.

You can get a hitch put on anywhere, the Nissan/Infiniti hitches are nice but $$$, they are made by Valley Corporation but they make a special model for the Nissan and Infiniti models. The FX as Q45Tech said is not setup to be a real tower, but my friend's 2005 FX35 has the Infiniti hitch that looks very sweet and he uses it for a bike rack and ski rack. If that is your goal you can get the Infinti one for a little more $$ or go and find a place that can have a Valley or similar model installed. I had my X-Terra one put on at Rack and Road, a popular place that does these all the time..it was a Valley model and was completedly generic. Then Nissan had a recall on the mounts so they replaced it with the Nissan model that is made by Valley but looks nicer.

If your going to do it on a brand new Infiniti I'd go for the nice one that is made for your FX and then only use it for bike racks and the like...maybe tow a jet ski or something that isn't more then 1k pounds.
