Which one should i get? I like to hold the knob kind of at an angle, mostly from the top, so i want a rounder knob. Which one would be better with the short shifter in terms of shift feel, damping vibrations?

gt is nice and firm (dont get perverted here). but it feels good. when your car is parked out in the sun cooking the interior, the knob doesnt get hot... just a little warm i think.

Personally, I have the Momo Race AirLeather Knob with the performance screw on boot. I love the combination and the package only cost me about 100 bucks. Looks like it should have been there from the factory. The knob is round with perforated leather over 80 percent of it. The boot screws on to the bottom of the knob for a tight fit. Definately rocks....

well you could do what i did if you want a short shifter for cheap. take the stock shifter and twist the top and bottom apart. there are 2 peices held together by rubber. if you remove the top part you have a nice short shifter(no too good if you have large hands) now for a knob take a golf ball and drill a hole just a little smaller than the shifter and pound that ***** on there. ill post the pic once i find it.

that still wouldnt accomplish what a short shifter would...the gates will still be further apart. i think...

Shorter throw = more shift effort. Still a very awesome, I'm a fan of the "under-$25 mod".

I got a nismo GT, I love it: confortable, not-hyper-neon-yellow (its black), and it doesnt get hot.

well i donno, i got a B&M and my shifter feels like the gates are maybe a centimeter apart...and i got that lightweight Nismo CF knob that looks kinda like a big chapstick or something...(for lack of better explanation) and it kinda sucks cuz it's so light...no vibration damping, and it kinda makes me have to try harder to shift

the best knob would be a very heavy rubber knob...like lead centered w/ a rubber outter

B&M shares thread pattern w/ stock...so anything that fits the stock 240sx/silvia (s15 excluded) will fit the B&M

i have the nismo dildo knob and it sucks, it is way to light so i put it on my stock s14 instead of in my s13. I put a heavy momo one from my old eclipse on my s13 and its awesome. Depends on what you want does it make a difference in the weight, feel, or just looks??
