i couldnt stay NA for long... after my long break after my incident with bad luck with my built motor, ive decided to get back into the game and boost again. after selling all manifold, turbo and downpipe, probably run a cheap SR setup with a t25 till more $$$ gets back in.

for all of you who didnt know, my oil return line was leaking while i was breaking the built motor while NA. it leaked all over the freeway (i didnt connect my oil pressure light ) which caused the rapid chain reaction of engine failure... the exhaust cam snapped, causing the timing chain to snap causing bent valves, which caused the oil pump to seize, which caused my bearings to fail... the motor shut off while all this happened when i was driving. i do not know how bad the bearings are nor do i know what condition the crankshaft is.

does running a basic SR t25 setup on a built motor with 9:1 wiseco's with ARP head studs, cometic MLS HG, safc2, 480cc inj, msd btm and z32 maf seem like a waste on a turbo setup to u? or should i just wait and save up for a huge turbo setup???

I would look for a different sized t25 series other than the sr20det, look for a s14 or s15 t28 or even better a Pulsar Gti-r t28. I used a Gti-r turbo at 15psi for my Ka's last few months and loved it. Made 287hp @ 13psi running a nasty tune on a stock maxed maf.

i'd say it's a waste hahaha. j/kgood to see you back on the board sunny! looking at your sig, i see you got your bike.

i'd have to agree with 1wheel. a stock sr t25 is pretty small for a ka24. but if you have one lying around and if it won't cost anything to put it on there, i say go for it! it sucks driving around a stock powered car after enjoying boost for a while. i for one wouldn't be able to go back to n/a.

gt32 gets my vote. but if money is tight, pulsar turbo or s15 turbo is where i would head

money is REAL tight (gf + bike payment + bike insurance + car insurance + bills) = no fun!

im really leaning towards a SR setup with a t25 or a cheap t28... any one got one for sale?!

yes steve i got my bike! wow... the wonders a bike can do... i hit 172mph in full tuck under a racewindscreen (on a closed course ofcourse ) i also raced a modded viper, and i mean MODDED and i jumped ahead until 130mph till it started to pull

bikes are tons of fun. keep the shiny side up and ride safe Trung!i had a yellow 06 r6 but got rid of it to pursue my ka-t project and to keep my bills manageable.i basically got to ride it for free for a couple of months because yamaha had a buy back thing going on because of a tach error. so for me it was a no brainer. gave that thing back after thrashing on it for a few months and they gave me all of my money back! suckers!!!

For 8psi it's fine. But mine as well wait a coupel more weeks to get a t3/t4 or somehtign you want. Because by changing turbos you'll have to chnage your exhaust system *most likely* so there's another 50-100. If you have the parts lying around do it. FloydS13 is running a porsche kkk27 turbo on 5lbs and is having a blast. You got your bike for speed.I say save up and do it the way you want it the first time. Put you car insurance on hold for 1-2months until you get it running.I wish I would of. I paid over $800 for insurance when the car couldn't even move...

my car runs, its daily driven ask craving4boost.i have all the turbo accessories still except or a manifold, turbo, oil lines and downpipe. so pretty much a bottom mount SSA mani, t25, oil lines, turbo elbow and SR downpipe should be all i need for my boosting needs... i want 12psi on that baby!!!
