Guys, all of you that are getting motorsets or clips and installing old rotted injectors is a bad idea. I took my injectors out to have them serviced (cleaned and blueprinted) and what a huge difference it made! The low was a 68% flow where they averaged about 70ish% flow. And one injector was so badly oxidized the metal couldn't even make a connection with the harness!

How much does that go for? Can you just clean them with some type of chemical?

I had my KA24E injectors cleaned, the tested then cleaned then tested again, 3 were 'bad' spray battern and the other was 'leaky' haha... not that it did me much good now that the KA24E is dying :P

cost me somewhere around $120 including return shipping

About $25-$35 a piece, but that includes new o rings and stuff too. You don't want to clean them yourself because you can't test the flow rating very accurately, just take it to a professional.

I'd like to know a good place to buy some 444's. I"d like to just buy new ones instead of dealing with getting them cleaned and such. Does anyone know a good place to pick up some injectors, online store of course. :rolleyes

i have seen a RB20DET do a dyno run before injector cleaning (112kW) and after (118kW). the runs were done about one hour apart and they aren't great numbers but it shows the amount of improvement that is possible even on a standard car.
