Seems never ending. I had noticed some noise from the front of the sedan and yanked a tire the other day. Rotors were grooved and a tad warped. Guess I should not complain much as the front brakes have lasted at least 30k miles? Anyway, instead of trying to get the factory ones turned again I'm getting a pair of StopTech slotted rotors and hawk pads from Mike at TunerzStore.com. Everything should be here on Monday. It's an easy job to swap and I'll take that time to clean the caliper and paint it satin black.

So, I drive it today and can still hear the noise. I know it's not the rotor. Get home and bounce the front end...squeak squeak....<sigh>

Going to check it out later but Mike thinks it's the compression rod bushings. Didn't realize these were a common replacement part for a G. So, more parts and things to replace besides the brakes. Money to burn and the car wants some lovein

I like those pads a lot...the rotors I'm meh on, good quality just not a huge fan of slotted/drilled or any combination of the two. I like blanks.

What kind of noise are you getting?

There are many possibilities but bushings were much more common on the previous gen.

Making the nose move up and down causes a loud squeak from the suspension. Could be the compression rod bushings/bearings or it could be swaybar and endlinks. Doubt it's the latter.

I'd start by putting some a*s into a 14mm box wrench on those upper control arms before buying anything.

There are many possibilities, start small.

I don't usually drive it so I don't worry much about the noise. I'm doing the front brakes next week so I'll tighten and check things out then. I'll make the call to order new parts at that time as well.
