I really want to get a new car, the altima coupe, but everyone says it will be revamped and look better in 2013, should I wait till next year for the 2013 model or get the 2012 one now? Also, I KNOW THIS IS A NISSAN FORUM, But what about the scion FR-S? It is a amazing looking car, but its not until 2012. What should I pick?

Thanks

if you talking about year 2012-2013 i say go with FR-S. or wait to see what other car might come out. if you talking about second half 2011-early 2012.. Altima coupe is still a good choice

Well no I mean the FR-s and the 2013 altima Coupe should be coming out at about the same time, about 10-12 months from now. So I can either wait 11 months for the 2013 coupe and the FR-s to decide between those two, or just get a 2012 altima coupe right now that is already out.

Thanks

wait 11 months til both 2013 AC and FR-S come out and decide then. that fr-s looks VERY promising in all aspects while we'll just haveto wait for the 2013 AC...the wait will be worth it.

if you get a 2012 AC now, just know that its EXACTLY the same as a 2010 and 2011, but with a higher price tag; nissan barely changed anything noticiable between 2010-2012.

Hi,

Okay I see, but should I wait for 2013 or just get one now?

True, although if you read this, it kinda sucks, I mean they made a lot of changes from the original cool looking FR-s: http://wot.motortrend.com/spied-scion-f ... 79097.html

As much as I hate Scion the FR-S looks really nice. Probably gonna stick with my coupe for awhile though.

Personally I would wait for the 2013, in fact that is what I'm doing. As far as the FR-S concept, looks just like a concept and as we all know what comes off the production line is a somewhat disappoint. Just my .02

If you don't NEED a car right now, wait.

You can have the best of both worlds that way. If you like the 2013 better, you can get one. But if you end up liking the 2012 better, you can probably get a deal on one when they're clearing them out for the 2013's.

I wouldn't even think about replacing my '08 Rogue, which there's nothing wrong with, until I see the next-gen model (also due in 2013).

I agree if you don't NEED it, then wait. But having just bought a 2011, I was thinking the exact same thing as you. The FR-S looks sweet and I thought about waiting for that myself, but as other posters have noted, concepts tend not to be as good as the actual product. I decided to buy my coupe now because after looking at the Accord coupes, BMWs, Camaros, I found my Altima to be the best choice since it is fully loaded, yet it was cheaper, rarer, had the best mileage, and comparable acceleration with all those other choices. Now, the longer I own it, the more I love it. My original thought was that I would wait a year or so to see how the Scion and Hyundai (and others) update their models, but now I may just end up keeping this a few more years than I originally planned because I love it much better than I expected. My point is, I think you'll be happy if you get the 2012 (or even an awesome deal on 2011 at this time of year).

I'm planning to hold onto my car for as long as it'll have me. Then I'll probably be looking at the Scion FR-S, or the Subaru 216b/Impreza Coupe/whatever they decide to do with it.

Same car, but rumors of AWD + Turbo (for more cash, of course) really tempts me. Imagine: Scion FR-S STI. Do want.

For anyone wondering about the FR-S, I just stumbled onto what it's gonna look like.

It was shown on Jalopnik so I'm pretty sure it's real. Such a fail compared to the concept lol.

That looks like a photoshop of the original concept. Here's the most recent concept shots, followed up by the what might be the Scoobiedoo version in camo:

its still lame, i mean the camouflage one . the only way to get a look like the concept is to drop 40k+ on a benz, beamer or benz. oh well, stick with the coupe altima

Yeah, it is, but that's never been seen on an actual version of the car. That's just a photoshopped tC front-end.
