For those of you with APO, AE in your avitars, where are most of you stationed and where do you get your parts for the CA at decent prices since the euro rate has gone to crap.

I am in Bamberg ftw.

I am in Baumholder Germany. I get what I can from Autozone as they are APO friendly and usually ship priority for free for us. There is a great list that shows the part numbers that you can go by. I got a couple of German guys who get me some of those hard to get parts like the 4 port euro intake gasket. Like you said though, the dollar right now sucks and it is supposed to get even worse. One place said it could go to .50 to the euro. and I have a house payment in euro

ouch on the house payment. I try to avoid the dealer if at all possible. I work for Service Credit Union in Bamberg so i cringe every time i see the euro rate in the afternoon. thanks for the autozone tip. I did not know they ship to APO's for free. I will have to look up the parts number listing on the basic stuff. Will have to look you up sometime next time i am on that side of the country.

I have been to the dealer twice since I have been playing with CAs. Once was to see what the damage would be on rebuilding a head which came out to 1700 euros (did not include replacing all the valves), and the other time was for them to install some HKS brake lines since they were the only ones open in the town, and they even gave me two free metal turbo gaskets.

You have to watch autozone sometimes. Sometimes it is free shipping to APO and sometimes it is every order over 75 bucks is free. I usually need more than 75 dollars worth of stuff so shipping is never an issue. Never received the wrong part yet either.

Well if you are ever on this side of the country let me know I have plenty of room!!!

But who cares, can't never satisfied anybody with you want you wanna do. Someone alread converted an AWD B13 Sentra.
