Genuine Nissan O2 sensors wire color?

Just quick question, has Nissan always ( well at least since 97) used Blue / RED colored wires for the orginal o2 sensors?

I ask because the ones on my 97 pathfinder are black / white colored.. and I am in search of > 12.2 MPG.

If I recall correctly (and I'm pretty sure I do), my upstream sensors have blue and red mesh jackets over the wires and the wiring harness plugs are blue and red too. That isn't exactly relevant in your case given the year differences.

However, looking at the spark plug DIY, the '99 VG33E has blue/red OEM colors, it seems.
