Is there any reliable website that only provides genuine factory parts for my Infiniti? I am looking to buy a thermostat and not sure if the part that i bought from Auto Parts gonna function the same way as an original factory part. Thanks!

Courtesy Parts, while primarily being a Nissan dealer, should have most of the same parts for your QX4. QX4s are almost identical (if not identical) to Pathfinders mechanically.

I am gonna say Courtesy Parts as well...

but I would put your local Infiniti/Nissan dealership (remember, Nissan Pathfinders virtually uses all the same parts as well!) to a close second-place. Even though it may cost more than the CourtesyNissan (even after shipping costs from Courtesy), you may be lucky and they (dealership) have the part on hand.

Just do a little shopping and price comparison (taking into tax at dealership vs shipping at Courtesy, and the time you're willing to wait for shipping to arrive, etc) first. Compare and weight it out between your local dealerships and Courtesy.

BTW, there's another place called "FactoryNissanParts.com". but you may need to call them and ask for pricing and part numbers to order from the website (which makes it redundant, because why force me to order online, when I have to call you for the part numbers?)

infinitpartsexpress.com any good? they send me an email claiming that they only sell genuine infiniti parts.. i.e. the ones i would receive at the dealership... can anyone else confirm this? and also, what about infinitipartsusa.com? i checked out the Courtesy parts website and looked under the pathfinder. But like for example the thermostat, it's not the same. The one for this QX4 was with the housing assembly and the one they're showing for the pathy is different..Thanks!!

That doesn't sound right. All of the 2001-2004 3.5L automatic trans use the same thermostat. The QX4's engine is identical to the Pathfinder's, except the top plastic engine cover which says "Infiniti QX4" I believe.

You are going to want to purchase your parts from InfinitiPartsUSA.com, a NICOclub Sponsor who offers almost 60% markdown on all OEM part prices. Best of luck!

Towncivilian - If you look at the FSM for 2002 Infiniti QX4, on LC-18, it will show a picture of the thermostat which is attached to a housing assembly? This part is also shown on the infinitipartsusa.com.

InfinitiEric - Thank you so much! i will try them out. Are the parts sold on InfinitiPartsUSA.com made to OEM specification or are genuine Nissan parts?

Thanks you guys!!

InfinitiPartsUSA.com is run by Infiniti of Scottsdale - they sell only genuine parts, the same that are used when you bring your car in for repair at an Infiniti Dealership :yesnod

not to speak for TownCivilian, but it's just a housing.
I think the Thermostat should be installable into the housing.
Personally, I don't think you need to replace the housing each time, since to my knowledge, there aren't any moving parts in there.
However, you should consider replacing the thermostat housing gasket, of course.

I can't see why they (Nissan) would build 2 different parts of the same purpose for the same engine.
Nonetheless, I would encourage you to do what your gut tells you, and just buy the Infiniti one just to be for sure. I'm just saying that's it's a bit peculiar.
