Geni and HomeLink programming

Long confusing process, here's what I had to do. 4 steps First program remote to intelicode 1 (serial numbers on units greater than 10 for the first digits are programmed for intelicode 2) and home link can't do that. Second step program remote to Geni unit. Third step program remote to Home Link. Fourth step program Home Link to Geni unit. Here's some hints-first relax it is a struggle so get happy. Changing remote to intelicode 1...........hold button on remote 10 sec's until red indicator on remote appears (if its green it won''t work)
Program remote to Geni..............Press Program button on unit 1X (2 blue lites) press again (1round blue lite) press again (long purple lite) now press button on remote and it should be programmed.
Program remote to Home Link.............(first clear codes in Homelink by holding two outside opener buttons till red flashes fast) then at same time press remote and button you want on mirror until flashes fast red.
Program mirrorto unit......follow "my program remote to geni instructions ...the 3 button press then get to car quick (30secs) and hold down the button on the mirror until flashes red fast.
