Hi

Last Saturday I had an "Injector System Flush" done at Canadian Tire (a low-end department store with an automotive parts and service section instead of clothes).

Since then, my '89 240 has had low power, worse mileage, and nasty knock (sounds like it's rattling on the exhaust side). I put in a quarter tank of Premium gas (was 3/4 full) and a bottle of octane booster, and that took care of the knock, but it still seems to have less power (especially at lower RPMs, which is where it matters for a daily driver).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Whatever they did, if your engine is knocking, it's bad....I'd get a refund if I could. And yeah, O2 sensors take a beating from that stuff.

Yes, you should never run any of that crap through your motor again! If the manufacturer does not recommend it, then dont put it in your engine!
