My question doesn't exactly involve an Altima; I got a spoiler for my wife's 328i, and the spoiler is only attached using 3M double sided tape. I know the Stillen is also a non-drilled double sided tape install as well, and this spoiler for my wife's car is also very similar in size to the stillen spoiler for our cars (maybe a little larger in size, but not much). Can I trust the double sided tape is really going to keep this spoiler on the car and not blow off going down the highway? I'm not a member of any Beamer forums to ask them; nor do I want to be since I generally hate BMW drivers (I get pulled out in front of, cut off, brake right-of-way and other douche bag stuff by more BMW's then any other car), but since this is a pretty general question I thought I'd try my luck here.

Lots of people use 3M molding tape. It's grey with red backing. As long as you clean the surfaces very well (remove wax and buff) and wipe with alcohol it will stick very well.

Thanks for the reply; it came with an alcohol wipe, but can't the alcohol kill the paint? I guess that paint will be covered by the spoiler, but what if....., and I guess use some edging tape to make sure the alcohol doesn't run where the spoiler will not cover?

Alcohol won't kill paint. Test it like on the inside of you trunk lid or something, I'm pretty sure it will just remove any grease or wax and then evaporate without leaving any moisture behind.

Adhesive promoter can damage your paint if you were planning on using any of that stuff.
