Car: Nissan Altima Coupe 2010 2.5L Crimson Black Injen intake

Post

Decided to join Nico after spending about a week reading up on altima coups. Currently I drive a 2010 Altima Coupe 2.5L Crimsion black and I just got my injen short ram intake and installing it soon. I have read that the cvt are the slowest out there and the only way to get the most out of the cvt is to put it into manual mode. I tested this and the cvt seems to be a lot faster then putting it in manual mode and the only way I can get the rpms past 4k is to put it in cvt and not manual. I know how to drive a manual, but it sure seems like the cvt mode is faster in every way. I have also been looking up exhaust systems and the stillen cat-back looks to be the best for me. My question is does the cat-back remove the cat at all because I have done research and it looks like it connects to it, but does not mess with it. Just trying to make sure before I invest $700 on it. I really don't plan on doing much on cosmetics, but making grill black is one thing I want to do because it is currently black and silver or chrome really not sure. The two options I see is to either paint my original grill either black or crimson black. Or just buy a grill I found online that is matt black and has no nissan emblem on it. I would either keep it matt black or paint it all black or crimson black. The reason I would keep it matt black is because I am interested in getting some 17 inch rims that are matt black. http://www.elementwheels.com/proddetail ... -1780MAL-b They would fit my current tires and match the matt black on the the grill, I have seen pictures, but I can't really make a final judgement unless I see it in person. I know most of the basics with cars, but suspension is something I really have no knowledge on, should I get improvements like strut bar or rear sway bar or will I feel no difference in the ride. I have never been to a track or street raced seeing I knew my car would lose every time unless it was huge a** suv with no engine. Just want to add character and performance to my car, but without going over the top so no turbos or anything like that. I have a 2.5L also and I know the majority of people get rage when they hear about 2.5 owners trying to improve their cars because a 3.5 is out there, but I have a 2.5 so deal with it I was given that and can't really do anything about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the long post again.

No it's the stock hood, and intake wasn't too bad just leave that piece connecting to the grill on. Otherwise you won't have any cold air funneling to the intake. Also maybe turn the heat shield out towards the engine. Also make sure you test for the grill. And there was an issue I had with It after install (nothing big really) but the hood prop won't go back down it kinda just sits there now. And the back kinda flexs up. But I love the look personally. I havnt experienced any gap either like everyone else has talked about. It actually sits flush with the hood my frot bumper actually sits lower then my cmod!!

Did you paint your cmod black or black crimson because it does not look like matte black.
