Hi Guys I just bought a 98 240 SE with some minor work done to it and was wondering what your advice would be. It came with Eibach Sportline springs, and Tokico shocks on only the rear. The front shocks are still stock but all in all the car is lowered about 1.25 inches. I wish they were coil-overs, but dont we all. I will sometimes be driving this car in the winter, also taking it AutoXing, to the track, and a daily driver. So my concern is alot in the current suspension. It has only had the aftermarket springs/shocks for about 10 of its 21 thousand miles.

But I was wondering what your advice would be: should I replace the front shocks regardless, then look at suspension setups down the road, or go with an entirely new setup. I did a search on this, and have heard good things (from here and abroad) about the Tien 16 point system that I would probably go all the way with and get the electronically controlled one from the driver's seat. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

my suggestions, since its a "all around" car, get some AGX shocks, or koni yellows, etc. and keep the eibachs, those will be fine for most your uses, but wont "excell" in any (jack of all trades kinda deal). then check into some sway bars.-chet

What about going with something like the JIC-magic FLTA2s?

and a harsh spring rate. and they costs a lot. if you are street running the car, in lots of weather conditions, the eibach/AGX setup will works very well. any coilover, except the apex-i WS, or TEIN type flex(or other 'street' version) will give you any ride comfort.

save your money and spend it somewhere else, like the engine, or sway bars. thats just my opinion if your not actively racing it.-chet

sorry you said the following:

-any coilover, .... will give you any ride comfort.

Did you mean to say will NOT give you any or WILL give you any. I don't know just seemed oddly phrased and could be taken at both ends of the spectrum.
