Hey I'm trying to hook up a new system, my head unit has 4 input-output hookups that appearantly hook up to the amp, that's no problem. But are they suppose to cancel out the stock speakers? Can I connect the regular front and rear speakers via the wires to the deck, and then run four more speakers from the four channel amp? Any one know of any help sites, for general diagrams?

89, 240sx coupe (the better looking one), love the new sway bars, H&N a bit noisy but does increase HP

Okay I got it all working, thanks for all the tremendous ammount of help floks. But ahh One More Thing! Will it work if I bridge the head unit to just two speakers, will the unit become 46x2 rms if it's an 23x4 rms?

Depends on the head unit. The old Sony CD units had external amps that had a switch, allowing you to run 2x or 4x. I do not believe any aftermarket headunits would be able to handle bridged connections. If it happened to work, you would probably end up frying the headunit.

Since it's been almost a month since your last reply, you probably don't need this info anymore...

no you can't bridge them.. They are only 4 ohm stable.
