Dont do it. thats too big for a stock motor. cheap power gains? I dont know of much cheap stuff but usually people start with headers/exhaust or intake. A tuneup would be the cheapest

stock hp on de i believe is 155

3" is too big for non turbo, try 2.5". i'm currently running straight 2.25" from downpipe to muffler.

cheap power gains.... new plugs / ignition wires / ignition / intake / headers / exhaust / lightweight flywheel / remove a/c if you have it / remove aiv valve if you have it.... thats all i can think of for now.

A 3" exhaust is NOT too big for a N/A KA. This myth was dispelled long ago over on the freshalloy boards. A gain of 22HP was seen with a 3" cat-back and an intake.

yeah, stock hp to the wheels is 120-130, 155 is the engine's hp without drivetrain losses.and 3" exhaust will make you loose a slight torque(don't know if its noticeable), but it'll give you more hp.

3" exhaust doesn't make you lose any torque on a KA, in fact you gain it everywhere. Not only are there dyno graphs to prove it, but I have one on my car and I have to go up some steep hills every day, and it doesn't hurt at all.
