Posting this question here as this is a generic A/C query.
My 2002 Pathfinder A/C still works, but it's not blowing as cold as it used to.
I'm assuming that after 14 years, the charge is getting low.
Question is, I'm in Canada, and we cannot buy recharge kits in a retail store anymore.
Can I still get them in the U.S, say from Autozone or NAPA or whatever?
Also, what does the Pathy use? I presume it's not the old freon anymore.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Cheers.

R134, available in cans at any US parts store. The shadetree method is to just add enough until it gets cold, but dont add too much.

Hey thanks.
I'm only 45 minutes from the border, so making a trip is no big deal.

Might as well have an A/C specialist shop purge and refill the A/C system with the appropriate refrigerant and oil and vacuum purge the system manager which will get better results than the fix-in-a-can method. It honestly should only cost about $50-75.

If I could get it done for that price range, I would.
I'm not sure if anyone here would do it that cheap though.
I'll check around, but this is Canada we're talking about....lol

Could always get the procedure done in the US too.
