Gen 6 rotors pointless on a gen 5 unless you have a better Master Cylinder?

I've seen that some members here and at the org have installed gen 6 rotors and maybe calipers on their gen 5 maxima.

What's the point of doing so if the master cylinder isn't upgraded to accommodate for the extra mass?

I'm all for upgrading my braking at some point, but I'd certainly like to do better than just getting big looking rotors.

... and your thoughts are...?

there shouldn't be a problem with brake fluid pressure using the stock master. the common upgrade in brakes is the 300z( i believe?) which has bigger rotors and calipers and the stock cylinder makes enough pressure.

related yet not related...

how does your brake pedal "feel"? My wife had the brake pads changed and rotors turned not long ago, before I started driving the I35 and the pedal feels "mushy" to me. If you hold your foot down with constant pressure the pedal "sinks" a bit. I might just need the shop to bleed the brakes again, I know. But do they "break" the system to change the pads on these cars?

This may be perfectly normal, I just thought this would be a good time to ask.

Did you get ceramic or semi-metallic pads?

My GLE had ceramics in the rear (and semi-m's up front for some reason) and the car ha a mushy feel... When the semi-m's got put on the rear the brakes became exactly like my GLE's (semi-m all 4)... a bit more abrupt with no more mushy feel.

My brakes suck. Rotors are warping and (just for temporary purposes) I put el cheapo pads on the front because the pads the car came with were starting to squeal whether the I was braking or not. Anyone know about the warranty of the stock rotors? I know most brake parts (rotors and pads) have a lifetime warranty, but do the stock rotors?
